International Conference Learning for a just and sustainable world Global Education and Education for Sustainable Development in initial teacher training 14th December 2011, Warsaw The conference examined current policies and concepts of implementing global education (GE) and education for sustainable development (ESD) in initial teachers training (ITT) in the EU member countries and beyond. Also, the seminar took a closer look at similarities and differences between GE and ESD. Objectives: 1) Allow for networking and exchange of a broad range of actors engaged in GE, ESD and teachers training 2) Examine and share current policies and concepts of GE and ESD in initial teachers training 3) Identify similarities, differences and synergies between GE and ESD 4) Draw conclusions for the integration of GE and ESD in initial teachers training Participants: Around 100 multi stakeholder participants from throughout the European Union: civil society organisations, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ministries of Education, Ministries of Environment, European institutions, Council of Europe/North South Centre, UNESCO View all program here. 14 grudnia na Uniwersytecie Warszawskich odbyła się międzynarodowa konferencja, będąca głównym wydarzeniem organizowanym przez Grupę Zagranica w obszarze edukacji globalnej podczas naszego projektu prezydencyjnego. Konferencja poświęcona była zagadnieniom edukacji globalnej oraz edukacji dla zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz ich włączania w programy kształcenia nauczycieli.
