2011 saw the beginning of negotiations on the new 7-year budget of

the European Union, with active participation of Poland. The common

budget 2014-2020, called Multiannual Financial Framework, will set

the directions and scope of financing for all common EU internal

policies, as well as external actions.

The common budget 2014-2020, called Multiannual Financial Framework, will set the directions and scope of financing for all common EU internal policies, as well as external actions.  Although  the  proper  budget  negotiations  between Member States and the European Parliament will of-ficially begin in 2012, the starting point is the European Commission’s proposal, which has been finalized in December  2011. European NGOs will continue campaigning their governments  and  the European  Parliament  to ensure  support  for  the  European  Commission’s proposals  at  least  in  some  aspects.
