Grupa Zagranica is a platform of 61 Polish non-governmental organizations involved in international development cooperation, democracy support, humanitarian aid and global education.

Our overall objective is to build efficient and competent CSOs sector in Poland, which effectively supports the development of less affluent countries, is stable institutionally and financially, is recognized and considered an important element of Polish foreign policy.

We work towards better involvement of Polish NGOs in international development, democracy support, humanitarian aid and global education, acting as an advocate of the sector’s interests towards external partners, building competence of NGOs in development cooperation, as well as promoting internal cooperation within the sector to increase its effectiveness.

Grupa Zagranica is a member of CONCORD Europe – European Confederation of NGOs working on sustainable development and international cooperation. Since 2005, under the leadership of CONCORD Europe, all platforms from the countries of European Union (including Grupa Zagranica) have been working together on the annual AidWatch reports. The reports monitor and make recommendations on the quality and quantity of Official Development Assistance (ODA) provided by the European Union and the European Commission.

Grupa Zagranica is a coordinator of The Global Education Week in Poland – an annual worldwide awareness raising initiative unfolding during the third week of November.
